Yesterday I went to the beach in the late afternoon with my friend L-Lou. It turned out to be the most beautiful day at the beach (as SOMETIMES happens on the Oregon coast). There must have been a storm off the coast tho - the surf was really big - like you see in December & January.
Tee hee - you can see my little white dog there in the bottom of the picture - she is soooo cute!
In the morning before we went to the beach - this is what I worked on...
I am getting farther along on getting the 2nd back done on Sweet Pea's quilt.
This is what it looked like this morning...
I have gotta keep working on it, so TTYL!
Have a GREAT Sunday!!!

I REALLY like that top on-point block! It is a left over block from a quilt that never got put together - I thought it would look really good here on the back.
I am so excited to watch it take shape!
The significance of the 4+2+7='13 is that is the date they got married (April 27, 2013). That is the same day Michael Jordan got married for the 2nd time - just thought you might like to know that random piece of news.
Gotta go for the night - have a good one!!!

I am also working on a quilt for my brother & his honey.
I really love this pattern - it is a funky spiderweb pattern. Yellow is Plan B's favorite color - and I think turquoise is a close second. This is another queen sized quilt. WHAT AM I THINKING??? Making 2 queen size quilts back to back? This top is almost done. I just have to add the borders. The top as it hangs right now is a little over 60" x 80". The square finishes up at about 10-3/4 inches square.
Gotta go to Costco & get gas - I didn't do it on Friday. OOPS!!!!

This was started on 8/4/2013 - not published until today - quite a time passage...
I am working on my son's wedding quilt.
I just can't believe my little baby boy is old enough to be able to get married! This big varmit makes me sooo proud! His bride is so perfect for him! :)
I have the top done and now am working on the back. I have been stuck on the back because I am going to be quilting this myself so I will be doing that in halves. This is what I have of the back so far.
I want to add some stars in red, white, & blue - both are Marines. Sweat Pea 2 loves owls & Sweet Pea 1 loves Sweat Pea 2. It works really well that way.
On the other side of the quilt backing I am going to add "4 + 2 + 7 = '13 & some more loves.
This is really a jigsaw puzzle - kind of fun to do. I really wish I had more orphan blocks to add to it - those make a quilt back really fun!
I had better post this - so I can keep on moving on it.
Take care!
